Meet The Superintendent

Robin G. Crowder
Robin Crowder is currently Superintendent in Waynesboro Public Schools. He began his teaching career in Augusta County Public Schools in 1978, after graduating from James Madison University. In 1983, he and his wife, Cathy, moved to Montgomery County, Virginia, were he began his first principalship.

In 1986, Dr. Crowder and his family returned to Augusta County were he became principal of Riverheads Elementary School.

Dr. Crowder has been working with the Waynesboro Public Schools since 1989. He has a Doctorate Degree from the University of Virginia in Educational Leadership and Policy Study.

Dr. Crowder and his wife, Cathy, have three children, Stuart, who is currently working as an engineer for the Donley Company in Richmond; Marcus, who teaches second grade at Stuarts Draft Elementary School; and Emily, who is a junior at James Madison University.

The Waynesboro Community is very important to Dr. Crowder. He serves on the SAW 2010 Consortium; the River City 2020 Committee; the Waynesboro Roundtable Committee; the Community Policy and Management Team; and is an active member of Rotary. He is an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he has served on church council and has taught Sunday School for 17 years. Dr. Crowder is also on the Executive Board for Lutheran Family Services of Virginia and on the Board for Smart Beginnings of the Shenandoah Valley. Dr. Crowder also served as an adjunct instructor for the University of Virginia, Eastern Mennonite University, and Shenandoah University. He enjoys racquetball, snow skiing, and the beach.
