The School Health Advisory Board referred to as the SHAB committee was created to:
- Advise the School Board through the division superintendent of the health service needs of students in the division.
- To review annually, the Wellness plan and the health service activities and report to the School Board the extent of Health and Wellness implementation plans.
- To advocate for health needs of students and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- To promote dialogue between parents, students, school personnel, and community members on issues related to the health needs of students.
The committee meets 4 times a year and the public is invited to attend. Dates and time will be announced at the beginning of the school year and on the school news channel.
