It is hard to believe we are already in December and almost done with the first half of the year. As we move through December, I wanted to share some reminders and upcoming events with you.
Reminder:
For the safety of our students,
Car riders should be dropped off in our back parking lot. When dropping off students or picking up students, please do not pass other cars and be sure to follow the directions of our staff.
We also ask that parents not drop students off in our front parking lot during our arrival times. That lot is reserved from 7:30 - 7:50 and from 2:30 - 3:00.
If your child arrives after 7:50 in the morning, you must walk them into the office to sign them in.
Upcoming Events:
Wednesday, December 3rd, from 5:00 - 7:00 is our Math and STEAM night! Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
Wednesday, December 10th, at 5:00, we will have a PTO meeting.
December 15th - December 19th will be our PTO sponsored Holiday Shop. We need volunteers to assist student shoppers, run the cash registers, and help wrap gifts in bags. This is a really fun event for students to be able to shop for small gifts to give their family and friends over the holidays. Please consider signing up to help!
The week of December 15th - December 19th, we will be having spirit days each day. Please see the newsletter from your child’s teacher for more information about our spirit days.
Friday, December 19th, is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed 2 hours earlier than normal.
Friday, December 19th, is the end of our second 9 weeks. Report cards will go home on January 9th.
There will be no school for students from Saturday, December 20th, through Tuesday, January 6th. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 7th.
We encourage all of our families to download the Waynesboro Public Schools app to help keep up with school and division events. The app is a great way to communicate with your child’s teachers and our office staff.
