📢 Calling All Parents & Guardians – Your Voice Matters!
Waynesboro Public Schools encourages parents and guardians to apply for an important opportunity to support Virginia’s future in education!
The Virginia Department of Education is seeking parent and guardian representatives to participate in Standard Setting Committees for Math and Reading Standards of Learning (SOL) Assessments. Your perspective is vital in helping determine the cut scores for these newly updated, more rigorous assessments.
🗓️ Meeting Dates at Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Glen Allen, VA:
🔹 Math: June 9–11
🔹 Reading: June 11–13
💻 A virtual orientation will be held on May 19, 2025.
🛏️ Hotel, meals, and per diem expenses will be covered by VDOE.
🎯 This is a great way to make a lasting impact on how student achievement is measured across the Commonwealth!

Through Martin’s Feeding School Kids initiative, Waynesboro Public Schools received $8504.09 to expand our school food programs. Thanks to Martin's and our community members’ support, more than 3,000 students will have access to local Farm to School programs. Thank you, Martin's for helping us ensure all students have access to the nutrition they need to thrive!
