📚 #ThrowbackThursday | Waynesboro History Spotlight

Found this gem: “School honors man who devoted life to students.” It highlights William Perry’s role in integrating Waynesboro Public Schools.

A few lines that stood out:

“I could see growth with those students because of taking the time and guidance.”
“Money and prestige isn’t everything.”

Check out the full article and glimpse into our local history—and feel free to share if you find it meaningful.

🎉🌱 Waynesboro Cafeteria Managers Take Farm to School to the Next Level!

This week, our amazing WPS cafeteria managers rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty—literally! 🧄✨ The day started at the Waynesboro Education Farm at Berkley Glenn Elementary, where they learned about local farm operations and even planted fresh garlic.

Later, they headed to the kitchen to master THREE scratch-made recipes that are hitting this week’s National School Lunch Week menus:
🍅 Homemade Salsa
🍜 Chicken & Vegetable Ramen (featuring that fresh garlic!)
🍢 Chicken Souvlaki (also starring fresh garlic!)

Our team is fired up to serve these delicious, globally-inspired dishes to our students. 🌍🍴 Because at WPS, we’re all about fresh, local, and made-with-love meals. 💚
