Waynesboro Public Schools encourages parents and guardians to apply for an important opportunity to support Virginia’s future in education!
The Virginia Department of Education is seeking parent and guardian representatives to participate in Standard Setting Committees for Math and Reading Standards of Learning (SOL) Assessments. Your perspective is vital in helping determine the cut scores for these newly updated, more rigorous assessments.
🗓️ Meeting Dates at Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Glen Allen, VA:
🔹 Math: June 9–11
🔹 Reading: June 11–13
💻 A virtual orientation will be held on May 19, 2025.
🛏️ Hotel, meals, and per diem expenses will be covered by VDOE.
🎯 This is a great way to make a lasting impact on how student achievement is measured across the Commonwealth!

Today was "C" for Crazy Hair Day! Tomorrow is "D" Decades Day. Dress from a different decade. It is also Fun Friday and an early release day. We dismiss at 12:20. There is no school for students Monday.

Through Martin’s Feeding School Kids initiative, Waynesboro Public Schools received $8504.09 to expand our school food programs. Thanks to Martin's and our community members’ support, more than 3,000 students will have access to local Farm to School programs. Thank you, Martin's for helping us ensure all students have access to the nutrition they need to thrive!

👑 🌟 We were thrilled and honored to have Miss Virginia, Carlehr Swanson make a stop here at Wayne Hills last week on her Miss Virginia School Tour! She came to speak with us about being a leader, being healthy and even brought her piano to share her talents with us. Thank you so much for spending time with us and emphasizing that our students can do and be anything!👑 🌟






🐮 🐄 🥛 Staff, students and guardians alike enjoyed a visit from the Mobile Dairy Classroom and Rosemary the cow! Despite the cold and wind, Megan Day did an amazing job teaching us all about dairy, health, the milking process, anatomy of the cow and more! We truly enjoyed it, thank you so much! 🐮 🐄 🥛 Southland Dairy Farmers
