Waynesboro Public Schools Reminder: Required Immunizations for 2024–2025 School Year
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, families of rising 7th and 12th graders are reminded that proof of required vaccinations must be submitted prior to the first day of school.
For Rising 7th Graders:
Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
Meningococcal (Meningitis)
HPV (Human Papillomavirus) – required per the Virginia Department of Health, however, parents may opt out by choice.
For Rising 12th Graders:
Meningococcal (Meningitis)
If vaccinations are not obtained, documentation of a medical or religious exemption must be submitted.
To support families, WPS is offering the following vaccination opportunities:
July 20, 2025: Virginia Department of Health will host a vaccination clinic during the Back to School Bash.
Vaccinations will take place at Embrace Community Center, with transportation available from Kate Collins Middle School.Local Health Departments:

Staunton-Augusta Health Department – 540-332-7830 (2nd & 4th Thursdays, 8AM–4PM)
