Alexis Ramsey

Waynesboro – April 14, 2026 (For Immediate Release):

At a meeting of the Waynesboro School Board on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Alexis Ramsey was appointed as the new Assistant Principal of William Perry Elementary School. She will officially assume her duties on July 1, 2026.

Ms. Ramsey currently serves as an Intervention Specialist at Westwood Hills Elementary School, where she provides targeted instructional support, collaborates with teachers across grade levels, and works closely with the administrative team to analyze student data and improve outcomes. She also coordinates the Student Study Team (SST) process and has played an integral role in strengthening systems of support for students.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Ramsey served as a classroom teacher at Wenonah Elementary School, teaching both 3rd and 5th grade. In that role, she developed a strong foundation in differentiated instruction, data-driven decision-making, and fostering positive learning environments for diverse student populations.

Ms. Ramsey holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from James Madison University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Mennonite University. She also holds a postgraduate professional license with endorsements in Administration and Supervision PreK–12 and Elementary Education PreK–6.

Throughout her career, Ms. Ramsey has demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration, student advocacy, and community engagement. Her leadership experiences include serving as a Summer Enrichment Academy administrator and developing programs that connect students, families, and community partners to support both academic and social- emotional growth.

Dr. Jeffrey Cassell, Superintendent of Waynesboro Public Schools, shared his enthusiasm for the appointment, stating, “Ms. Ramsey is a thoughtful and collaborative leader who brings a strong instructional background and a deep commitment to supporting the whole child. Her ability to build relationships, analyze student data, and work alongside staff to improve outcomes will make her a tremendous asset to William Perry Elementary School.”
