Good evening, Roadrunner families! We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. For tomorrow's spirit day, students can dress in pajamas, workout clothes, jerseys, as an emotion, or choose not to participate. All options are on the table! Get a good night's rest and see you in the morning!
Since we didn't get to do the pajama day today, tomorrow can be either pajamas, inside out, or a combination!
Please sign up for Conference Meals if you're interested! Click the link in order to do so. Thank you!

September is Attendance Awareness Month
Too often, we think of reducing absences as the job of parents or school clerks in the front office. But communities across the country have started helping schools address chronic absence by building public awareness and leveraging resources. http://bit.ly/1oqfID7

We have an exciting opportunity for families and community members tonight, Thursday, September 12 at KCMS from 5:30-8 PM. There will be a free screening of The Right to Read Documentary with a reception before and a panel presentation afterward. This documentary fits very well with changes happening across the division as a result of The Virginia Literacy Act. We hope you can join us!

Thank you for the amazing response to Grandparents' Week! We cannot take any further orders since our cafeteria manager had to make orders for next week today. If anyone still wants to come, that's great (and encouraged), but they'll have to bring their own lunch in if they want to eat. Also, please read through the newsletter sent out earlier this week. There's some important information about upcoming fundraisers, etc. Have a great evening!
