The Central Shenandoah Health District will be holding in-school vaccine clinics for
rising 7th and 12th graders within Waynesboro City Public Schools this spring. The types of vaccines available at these clinics are HPV, Meningococcal ACWY, and
Tdap. The Code of Virginia requires children entering daycare, public, and private schools to give proof of vaccination before enrolling in school. The vaccines should be given based on the schedule recommended by the CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Academy of Family Physicians.
The locations and dates of these in-school vaccine clinics are:
Waynesboro High School and Kate Collins Middle School: April 26
These vaccines are available at no cost for those with and without insurance.
Returning student registration begins today for all students currently enrolled in Waynesboro Public Schools. All new student enrollment, including rising kindergarteners not currently enrolled at Wayne Hills will have registration in early April. Hello WHS families! The college and career center is hosting a workshop for underclassmen of WHS on Wednesday, March 13th. We will cover EVERYTHING you need to know about college! Did you know that playing sports can get you Scholarships? Having a good GPA can qualify you for Financial Aid. Want to continue your education and have no idea where to start?
Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and their families are invited. In this presentation, you will learn the types of education after high school, what form of education you'd need for your desired career, how to afford it, and what opportunities can come from it! This event will be held from 5-6:30 in the WHS Cafeteria. We will have snacks and drinks while Ms. Z presents, so you can know what to be working on NOW! Students who RSVP will be entered in a raffle to win a $1,000 Scholarship! Looking forward to a great conversation!
