Due to the predicted weather impact this evening, we will move our graduation to tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. We will communicate with families by 8 a.m. if the ceremony will be indoors or outdoors. Regardless of venue, students will need to arrive at WHS by 9:15 a.m. The graduation venue will be open to families at the same time.

A decision regarding tomorrow's outside graduation ceremony will be sent to senior families by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. As a reminder, if we cannot hold the ceremony outside on Friday, graduation will be moved to 10 am on Saturday.
Should we be forced inside, the ceremony will be held in the WHS auditorium. Each student received two tickets, allowing two people of their choosing to enter the auditorium. Other guests are welcome to view the live stream of the ceremony in our gymnasium or cafeteria on a first-come, first-served basis. The link to the graduation live stream and a QR code to register for graduation photos are available on the WHS website.

School nutrition employees must balance many roles and follow numerous federal, state and local regulations to ensure safe and healthy meals are available in schools. School Lunch Hero Day provides the opportunity for the community to thank these hard working heroes for their dedication to fueling our students for success.
Between preparing delicious food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Waynesboro Public Schools nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate. To celebrate their hard work and commitment, our schools will celebrate School Lunch Hero Day on May 3. This day, celebrated annually since 2013, was designated by The School Nutrition Association and Jarrett Krosoczka, author of the “Lunch Lady” graphic novel series. School Lunch Hero Day provides an opportunity for parents, students, school staff and communities to thank those who provide healthy meals to nearly 30 million of America’s students each school day.
