Through Martin’s Feeding School Kids initiative, Waynesboro Public Schools received $8504.09 to expand our school food programs. Thanks to Martin's and our community members’ support, more than 3,000 students will have access to local Farm to School programs. 🔑✨ Waynesboro High School Key Club Shines at District Convention! Over Spring Break, the WHS Key Club had an amazing opportunity to attend the 77th District Convention of Key Club International in Crystal City, Arlington, VA! From March 21–23, students connected, learned, and built friendships with members from across Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, and D.C. The convention celebrated the 100th birthday of Key Club International, included inspiring workshops, and the election of new district officers. A special shoutout to Raelyn Ross, who brought home an award for WHS! We’re proud of our Key Club members for their leadership, service, and representation of Waynesboro on such a big stage! 💙💛

🎉 Congratulations to Somer Stone! Waynesboro Public Schools is proud to celebrate Somer Stone, Speech-Language Pathologist at Westwood Hills Elementary and Thrive, for receiving the SHAV Early Career Professional Award at the Speech Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) Conference! 🗣️🏆 This award honors outstanding contributions in the field early in a professional’s career — and we can’t think of anyone more deserving. Keeping Our Littlest Learners Safe! The Early Head Start program partnered with the Waynesboro Fire Department to host a Car Seat Clinic focused on family safety and support. As part of comprehensive services, families received car seats, and the amazing team at the fire department provided hands-on training to ensure proper installation. We were proud to announce that this initiative was able to support 14 families in making sure their little ones travel safely! 💙 A huge thank you to the Waynesboro Fire Department for their partnership and commitment to our community!

Real-World Learning in Action! Stephanie Caldwell, English Learner teacher at Waynesboro High School, recently partnered with Tenneco Inc. in Harrisonburg to give her students a unique, bilingual tour—in both English and Spanish! Students interested in automotive and welding careers got a firsthand look at the manufacturing process and truly enjoyed seeing the work in action. 🙌 A big thank you to Tenneco for welcoming our students and supporting career exploration! 👏 Check out a few photos from this amazing experience below!
